For
Thad Beaty, musician-turned-triathlete, “Music
That Moves” is the literal summation of his incredible journey thus
far. A guitarist who has spent 9 years with country juggernaut
Sugarland, he has shared stages with Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, Kenny
Chesney, Rhianna, and Beyoncé as well as contributing as a writer
on albums selling upwards of 10 million copies.
After his mother’s diagnosis with colon cancer and his own realization that the rock and roll lifestyle had resulted in his own poor health, he set out on a new journey to reclaim his health, the health of his family, and now, a quickly growing community of triathletes all over the world.
Music That
Moves was born out of Thad’s journey back to health in all
areas of his life. Through the medium of a plant-based diet
combined with a goal to compete in an IRONMAN, Thad found himself
over 70 pounds lighter and surrounded by fellow athletes and
musicians who wanted his help with their own journeys. Never one to
do anything halfway, he dove in head first and pursued multiple
coaching certifications (USA Triathlon Level 2, USAC Level 2,
Training Peaks Level 2, USMS Level 2, Newton Running, Dynamic
Movement Assessment,TRX, Spartan SGX, Triathlon Research, and
Scheduled to sit for his Nutritionist certification and NSCA CSCS)
to better coach the athletes he is leading.
After
discovering his passion to affect people’s lives for positive
change, Thad was asked to be a celebrity mentor on ABC’s Extreme
Makeover Weight-loss Edition, helping to coach and train a
participant to complete the New Zealand Half-Ironman.
From Andy:
Thad is one of the most down-to-earth real rock stars that I've
ever spoken with. His willingness to get real and raw and share
some of the realities of his life made the conversation light, fun,
entertaining, and enlightening. He's got a serious passion for
helping others change their lives in a similar way to the way he's
changed his. You're going to LOVE this one!
Enjoy!

One of the best
things I’ve ever done is to get prepared, Whole Life
Challenge-compliant meals delivered to me during the week. It makes
my life so much simpler, eliminates any questions I might have
about healthy food for those meals, and reduces the number of
decisions I need to make each day.
I highly suggest trying it out. It was a game-changer for me. The Good Kitchen will deliver pre-made, chef prepared, WLC-compliant meals (breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner) right to your front door via FedEx.
